On 12/02/2026, a man presented a Singapore Police warrant card at the door of Mondrian Singapore Duxton. The card was counterfeit. A Hawkeye officer caught it, the man was held, and the SPF were called to the scene.

The card was identified at the door and the matter reported. Responding SPF officers were supported on scene, and Bukit Merah East Neighbourhood Police Centre issued a formal Letter of Appreciation.

Few firms in our category ever receive one. We mention it because the work it represents is the work we do every shift, on the doors where it does not make the news.

Second recognition

A chute fire at Block 422, mitigated before SCDF arrived.

On 05/07/2026 a fire started in the Individual Refuse Collection System chute at Block 422 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 4. Fairuz Bin Abdul Latip, a Hawkeye officer and a registered Community First Responder, mitigated it before SCDF appliances reached the scene.

The 4th SCDF Division presented him with the Community First Responder Award at divisional headquarters. The award goes to the person, not to the firm. We name him because the standard we brief is the one an officer carries when nobody is watching.
